The Industrial Growth Plan Delivery Body
for the Offshore Wind Sector
In April 2024, the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC), together with RenewableUK, The Crown Estate and Crown Estate Scotland, published the Industrial Growth Plan (IGP).
The Plan sets out a clear roadmap to grow the UK offshore wind supply chain, accelerate and de-risk project delivery, and strengthen the UK’s market share and technology leadership.
Using a ‘Make or Buy’ analysis, the IGP identifies strengths and opportunities for growth, defining priorities, objectives, actions, and investment needs. This ensures that supply chain activity is strategically aligned with national priorities.The ‘Make’ priority areas identified in the IGP include:

Targeted support and investment in these priority areas could create 10,000 new supply chain jobs, ramp up manufacturing capacity, and contribute £25 billion to the economy by 2035.
The IGP Delivery Body
Our role as Delivery Body for the Industrial Growth Plan is defined as “an independent organisation with the core responsibility and mission to support the growth of the UK’s offshore wind supply chain.”
