Accelerating the development of the UK’s offshore wind supply chain

The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) exists to unlock the full potential of the UK’s offshore wind sector. Our mission is to develop a globally competitive domestic supply chain that supports clean energy and economic prosperity.

We do this by delivering the Industrial Growth Plan, maintaining it as the industry’s reference document and executing its aims through the provision of targeted funding and business support. Our supply chain programmes are tailored to align with Industrial Growth Plan priorities and designed to help companies grow, innovate, and compete globally.

Working alongside our partner organisations, we ensure supply chain development is coordinated and happens at pace. We aim to unite the sector around the Industrial Growth Plan, providing a shared roadmap to accelerate long-term growth, generate skilled jobs, increase supply chain exports and revenue and develop UK intellectual property.

Our support gives businesses the tools, knowledge, and insights to deliver world-class projects. Our support strengthens the offshore wind supply chain and creates lasting value for local communities.

Our programmes are tailored to align with Industrial Growth Plan (IGP) priorities. This ensures support is focused on areas with the greatest potential for long-term economic impact. As the Delivery Body for the IGP, we drive the execution of this Plan, monitoring progress, creating sector buy-in and facilitating alignment of funding sources across industry to unite and shape the future of the sector.

Who we help

We work directly with UK-based companies of all sizes
and experience levels, whether already operating in offshore wind
or seeking to transition into the sector. We help companies develop greater
capability and equip them with the tools they need to compete globally.

To deliver high quality support to our beneficiaries and facilitate alignment of other funding sources, we work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders in the offshore wind sector. Our stakeholders include the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC), The Crown Estate, Great British Energy (GBE) and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
