The North East Business Growth Programme is part of a large £3.5m initiative called TIGGOR (Technology, Innovation & Green Growth for Offshore Renewables).

TIGGOR is designed to boost supply chain growth and productivity in the North of Tyne and wider North East England region’s offshore wind and subsea sectors

Funded primarily by the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA), the programme is designed to boost supply chain growth and productivity in the region’s burgeoning offshore wind and subsea sectors, as well as encourage new market entrants from companies that currently do not operate in these industries.

TIGGOR is being run by ORE Catapult, which operates the National Renewable Energy Centre in Blyth. Energy firms EDF Renewables, owner of the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator wind farm, and Equinor, joint owner of Dogger Bank Wind Farm (located in the North Sea and set to be the largest in the world), are also part of in the programme.

You can find out more about the Technology Demonstration arm of the TIGGOR programme by visiting the ORE Catapult Website and Registering your interest.
